12/19/04: Record breaking week! :) John15.net is now up to a total of 4000 total visits. Mind you that isn't huge (I think Tekton gets about 2000 a day!), but it is certainly noteworthy. The site is gradually taking off.
But in addition to that, the week of the fifth we had a record number of visits at 186 total (from Sunday to Saturday: 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 59, 24), and 185 total visits last week. So over the last two weeks john15.net avaraged about 26.5 visits per day. (If you are wondering, a visit is counted every time a person browses the website for a while.)
12/11/04: Added a link to the The Preterist List to the Links Page. Good stuff.
12/2/04: Added a new essay: Eschatology FAQ. Also, be sure to try to sign of for the newsletter again if you tried before... there was a bug, but now it should be fixed. If you haven't tried to sign up, ... well it might not be bad idea now. Newsletter
11/12/04: Please participate in this poll on using .pdfs instead of the printer friendly "pages."
11/11/04: I've fixed the Newsletter page, in case people have been trying to sign up and were getting errors. Something else I would like to do in the near future is replace the "printer friendly versions" of my pages with .pdfs. Then you can also save essays to your computer without the coding issues that result. However, it may be a lot of work on my end, so I'm not sure if I will follow through. No new essays at the moment.
10/25/04: I've just completed a lot of background coding for the site. Much of it you probably won't notice, but makes things smoother on my end (it might actually make the site load a bit faster on your end as well). One of the most obvious updates is to the former "Quick Feedback" system. I streamlined it for new pages in the future, but I also fixed it up for current pages. It should be considerably more user friendly.
The next main thing I intend to do now is review the policy for it, to see if their are any roadblocks which might intimidate people away from posting. After that I can resume churning essays at my typical sluggish rate.
10/23/04: Hahaha... no new updates, but I stumbled upon a snapshot of my site from a year ago. Notice how different it is now: web.archive.org/web/20030806035245/www.msu.edu/~moserjus/
10/14/04: Not much to report that is new. Kind of busy, I have many projects on the back burner. (I need more back burners!) For the moment, the only update to note is that I've implemented a "quick and dirty" work-around to the problem which initially forced me to disable the News frame for users of IE. It seems to work.
8/20/04: It's almost official: my essay on Freedom of Choice is soon to be obsolete. Coming in it's place is a project which will mercilessly crush many objections -- both from nonchristians and from various views within Christendom -- in one swoop. No expected date of completion, but hopefully it will make up for the lack of updates lately. Readers familiar with my style will not be disappointed!
In other news, John Hendryx has responded to my Synergism article. In fact, he did quite a while ago. I'm not sure what my time-line will be from here, but I do intend to put forth a second rebuttal on the subject sooner or later.
7/11/04: New article: The Tolerant Christian.
6/25/04: Heh, it helps to double check your links! I just discovered that many of the links in this new section were linking to .html files: just about everything on this site is PHP now! I've fixed the links I found in the New section: if you find anymore, please email the details to me. Also, there is a glitch in my counter code, but it should be fixed later today. I'm also thinking of releasing my counter script as an open source software. If I do so, more details later.
6/24/04: Redid the Classic Arminianism Series front page, and two new essays to supplement the Arminian section: Regeneration, and a response to an objection against synergism. Also, I am doing a new section called "Questions and Answers." If you have a question relevant to this site's mission, which you'd like to see me address in this website, send it to me by email. Answered questions will be presented on the website!
6/11/04: We have a new essay answering the question, Why Did Jesus Die?. I also fixed the the quick feedback system so it is functioning properly (actually i fixed it a while back, just didn't bother updating News.
5/28/04: Due to a minor modification, their is a glitch in the Quick Feedback system. The system is now usable again, but it will be resolved sometime after the holiday.
5/22/04: D-day! I am done with the renovation for this site. What do you think!? There is a lot that has changed. To help users adjust, I've written a news piece on all the new features and updates: New Features.
5/10/04: No updates to announce now. However, in the next week or so I'll be making some huge changes. Yes, I am yet again redesigning some background aspects of this site; only this time, you will see a lot of changes in the foreground as well. Stay tuned...
4/28/04: We've got a monster! I originally started an essay on Freewill to supplement my series on Arminianism, but the article got so much larger than I anticipated, it's going to be it's own topic. I have so much more to say, I may write a whole series in the near future! Freedom of Choice.
4/22/04: Updated Personalism in light of a lot of constructive criticism from posters on TWeb.
4/19/04: A big thank you goes out to JCA from TWeb! He has offered to host john15.net on his webserver, and for free! The namespace servers should be updated within 24 hours, after which the URL john15.net will should to the new site. www.msu.edu/~moserjus will subsequently be shut down, as all the material will be moved to the new site.
Also, expect an update to "Personalism" soon. There are some minor details I'd like to elaborate on, in light of a discussion I had on Theologyweb.com.
4/17/04: This site hit 100 unique visitors (well, unique IP addresses at least) since I started count. Interestingly, this is in well under a month.
4/16/04: I uploaded a new page today. This is the first 2nd generation essay on this site, so check it out. Most of the changes aren't visible, but see if you like the feel. Ironically, this page is a rant on IE.
4/16/04: As you can see, My Christian Faith (john15.net) now has a news box. However, it did not come without a fight, as Internet Explorer was having trouble rendering it when maximized. Because my tolerance for IE has reached its limits, I do not intend to come up with a solution for our IE users, other than to tell you, "Get a browser that bothers to comply with standards, like Firefox or Netscape." I'll probably write a page in the next few days explaining, in detail, why I will no longer debug for IE.
Also new, I redid the footer crud on all my pages. You may have noticed the new icons at the bottom of the essays, like the one to the right. These link you to printer friendly copies of my pages, so you may print out a page without wasting colored ink. Just click on the printer image to get there.
< 4/16/04: Sooner or later, I'm going to migrate to a new server, complete with its own domain. www.msu.edu/~moserjus will remain online for a while longer. (The MSU ITs say I will have this web space for another two years.) Nevertheless, I already have the new domain, so if you wish to link or bookmark me, or have already done so, the alternate URL is:
http://www.john15.net
For now, the URL just bounces you back here.
